The Dermamelan skin peel or Demamelan mask as it is known, has been designed to target and improve the appearance of melanin pigmentation in the skin and is suitable for all skin types.
Melanin is the substance that gives skin its colour. Special cells in the skin make melanin and if these cells become damaged, it affects melanin production. If your body is making too much melanin, then your skin will become darker. Life changes such as pregnancy and menopause or lifestyle choices such as sunbathing can cause an overproduction of melanin.
It is a highly effective skin peel treatment for all kind of skin blemishes, such as:
- Melasma
- Hyperpigmentation
- Blemishes
- Pregnancy blemishes
- Blemishes caused by oral contraception
The lightening method of the Dermamelan peel comprises of two phases. The first is applied in-clinic by your Practitioner and the second is applied at home to continue the lightening action of the Dermamelan mask
The skin will start to show a substantial improvement at around 3 to 4 weeks post treatment. Discolouration diminishes and your skin will start to look more even toned, brighter and healthier.
