A chronic condition that affects the face. Very often presented as redness on the central face, across the cheeks, nose and forehead although it can also affect the neck, chest, ears and scalp. In severe cases, the blood vessels dilate, giving a semi-permanent rednesss and sometimes small bumps and pustules are present. This can be accompanied by burning and stinging.

Obagi Skincare

The Obagi Blue Peel is based on a weak acid (Trichloroacetic acid- TCA) is applied to the face to burn the outer layers of the skin in a controlled method, thus causing damage and letting the skin regenerate with a younger, tighter, healthier feel. There is some downtime with this treatment while the skin recovers- this is variable between 3-14 days depending on the depth of the peel.
